      Social Skills are knowing how to act in a certain social situations Good social skills can help us with relationships and help us to make friends.

      Many people with Special Needs have difficulty in social situations. They are not sure what to do or say and this can lead to anxiety and behavioural issues..

      We instinctively 'pick up' social skills from watching others and use them when communicating with others, but some people need to be taught the appropriate way to behave in social situations.
